What we do

Pelvic Health West was established in 2023 to provide specialised pelvic health physiotherapy to educate and empower individuals to overcome symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction and restore quality of life.

Pelvic floor dysfunction can be a taboo subject with many suffering in silence. I am passionate about listening and hearing your story with empathy and compassion to formalise a personalised treatment plan to achieve your goals.

Up to date evidence-based practice is of paramount importance at Pelvic Health West to ensure clients are receiving the best care. I commit to ongoing continuing professional development through courses, conferences and continued review of the emerging literature.

About Orlaith

Orlaith Kilgannon is a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist and founding director of Pelvic Health West.

Upon finishing school in Salthill, Orlaith attended NUI Galway and completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc general). With a keen passion for wellbeing, healthy lifestyle and fitness, Orlaith completed a Masters (MSc) in Physiotherapy with distinction at the University of Birmingham and qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 2018. Following junior physiotherapy rotations, Orlaith specialised as a senior physiotherapist in musculoskeletal health for the National Health Service (NHS) in Newcastle Upon Tyne between 2019 and 2022. Upon completion of the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP) pelvic health courses and combined with her musculoskeletal experience, Orlaith specialised as a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist for both the NHS and private practice between 2021 and 2023.

As an Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) pilates instructor, Orlaith established and led specialised small sized pelvic health Pilates classes, incorporating each individuals assessment findings, goals and treatment plans. Orlaith has returned to Ireland keen to share her experience and educate and empower the people of Ireland to manage their pelvic health.
